As part of a multi-functional, heavily matrixed team, this Lead Systems Administrator will be responsible for managing aa team responsible for a variety of program servers across a range of intelligence gathering platforms.
This work involves the installation and upgrade of these servers as well as troubleshooting and problem resolution.
The candidate will provide essential software support for associated laptops, desktop personal computers, and printers, including the configuration of the hardware devices and the testing of new software.
The candidate will be an integral part of a team of personnel responsible for designing the structure of the network and procuring the necessary hardware, software, and ancillary support components required to keep the system operational.
The candidate will monitor system configurations including any server event logs.
The candidate will be responsible for testing the operating system software, the networking software, and the computer hardware.
The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring server backup requirements and developing the procedures for backups.
Must be capable of assigning and monitoring work through JIRA ticketing.
Must be able to mentor the more junior and less experience team members.
Basic QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or other engineering or technical discipline and 5 years of prior relevant experience (4 years of applicable experience with appropriate certifications may be substituted for the degree.
)Must currently possess an active Top Secret Clearance.
Must have knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or system administration of Unix or Windows networks/systems.
Experience with installing, managing, upgrading and troubleshooting Servers, VMware, vCenter Server Appliances, ESXi Hosts, Linux, and the Windows Operating System and tools to include.
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining SCCM and WSU.
Experience building and deploying AGM Windows MDT images.
Experience with Cisco, NetApp, and iDRAC configuration and management.
Experience with use of Atlassian software, JIRA.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working and managing a matrixed teams.
Preferred QualificationsActive TS/SCI Security Clearance.
Post Production Software Support/Post Production Deployment Support for defense intelligence systems.
US Army aerial and terrestrial sensor system experience.
Familiarity with or experience implementing and using the Engineering Edge Quality Management System.
