Essential Functions:
Perform daily waste receipt, packaging, movement and storage.
Conduct daily, weekly and monthly facility inspections and inventory updates.
Perform related operational requirements of the waste storage facilities in the Aberdeen and Edgewood areas of Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Complete monthly report summarizing tasks performed during the reporting period.
Participate in monthly safety meetings.
Provide customer support, as needed, to APG tenant organizations.
Support will be provided to answer phone and email inquiries, and to service walk-in customers at the TSDF and 5110.
Provide support to the Site Chemist(s)for sampling and analysis and for other special projects.
Participation in the medical surveillance program.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Education and Experience):
Formal academic training in chemistry including at least two (2) semesters in general college chemistry.
Working knowledge of basic chemical concepts and ability to identify characteristic and listed hazardous wastes.
At least two (2) years hands on experience handling HW at a large quantity generator site or permitted TSDF and at least one (1) year experience performing HW sampling duties.
Possess basic computer skills and familiarity with database lookup and data entry.
Additional Eligibility Requirements:
Must have a valid U.
S.
driver's license Must be able to obtain and maintain Department of Army background investigation Must have U.
S.
citizenship Must be capable of obtaining/maintaining a DoD Common Access Card Current HAZWOPER certification IAW 40 CFR 264.

16 Current forklift operator training certification IAW 29 CFR 1910.
178(I) Current DOT training IAW 49 CFR 172, Subpart H Capable of lifting 50 pounds, be able to wear an air purifying full face respirator and SCBA.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Whitetail Environmental maintains the government compressed work schedule, with every other Friday as a regular day off (RDO).
This is a fulltime position with the work schedule as 7:
00 AM to 4:
30 PM, Monday through Thursday and 7:
00 AM to 3:
30 PM every other Friday.
This schedule allows for a 30-minute lunch break daily.
Certificates of completion must be submitted within 30 days of hire date.
